It’s an honor to offer true crime book editing services to authors, especially those who have worked in the detective realm.
Author Frank Goff’s book,
Note that I often help authors write their back cover blurbs and Amazon listing descriptions.
From his Amazon page:
“Imagine walking alongside a retired Chicago police officer as he recalls some of the most chilling, bizarre, and noteworthy true-life crime cases of his career. Author Frank Goff shares the inner workings of law enforcement and the politics involved, but also the realities of the streets. Sometimes humorous, sometimes heart-wrenching, these stories transport us into the shoes of real cops, real criminals, and real victims. The bottom line? Policing is a calling for the very few at great personal cost and sacrifice. Here’s to the men and women of law enforcement who protect and serve.”

True Crime Book Editing
Generally, authors contact me to explore the facets of book editing. They ask many questions, and I explain how the process works efficiently and collaboratively.
I read through the manuscript first to assess the amount and type of editing needed. Some books need only proofreading. Some need quite a bit of copyediting. Some need line editing or developmental editing. Some need a substantive overhaul.
Once I understand the needs of the manuscript, I provide a fair and thorough quote and an explanation of how I plan to elevate the content. Generally, the quote is by word count.
Upon agreement about price, deliverables, and turnaround, I get started on your project!
